Chede in partnership with Nestlé Cameroun for the supply of robusta coffee needed for the manufacturing of NESCAFE for local and regional markets.

NESTLE SA, headquartered in Vevy, Switzerland, is not only the world’s biggest food company by any standard but is also a world leader in corporate social responsibility credentials. Not surprisingly therefore, Nestlé seeks to maximise opportunities for local sourcing of the raw materials and semi-processed inputs it needs for the production of its branded products, including MAGGI and NESCAFE, among others, in Cameroon.  Taking advantage of this opening, Chede is building a budding partnership with Nestlé for the supply to this company of Robusta green coffee starting in the 2015/2016 coffee campaign season. In this connection, the Nestlé team responsible for  procurement of green coffee in West and Central Africa, namely Charles Gautier based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and Alain Bertrand Bakomou based in Douala, Cameroon, visited the Chede coffee operations Centre  in Muambong on 4 March 2015 to concretise partnership details. See family picture…
